Tomato, Orange, Carrot and Papaya Juice

Health-freaks will definitely love this drink not just for its nutrients but also for its colour and taste. I’ve carefully chosen the right balance of fruits and vegetables to prepare this tonic, which is infused with sufficient vitamins a, c and digestive enzymes, to meet a day’s requirement. It is very satisfying and satiating and provides only 31 calories! to retain the fibre, use a big holed strainer to strain the juice. The drink gives all the vitamin a and c requirement for the day.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Makes 4 small glasses

Ingredients
3 cups chopped tomatoes
1 cup peeled and chopped carrot
1 cup orange segments , cut into halves
1/4 cup papaya cubes or muskmelon (kharbooja) cubes
1/2 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
a few ice-cubes for serving

Method
1. Combine all the ingredients along with ¾ cup of water and blend in a mixer till smooth. 2. Strain using a strainer.
3. Pour equal quantity of the juice into 4 individual glasses.
4. Serve immediately topped with a few ice-cubes in each glass.
